According to a study from Jena, Germany, "TopBP1 (topoisomerase II beta-binding protein 1) is a BRCT [BRCA1 (breast-cancer susceptibility gene 1) C-terminal]-domain-rich protein that is structurally and functionally conserved throughout eukaryotic organisms.
