Findings from E.A. Hauth and co-authors provide new insights into breast cancer screening

According to recent research from Essen, Germany, "The purpose of our study was to evaluate the results after using the BI-RADS categories in clinical mammography, especially in the BI-RADS 0 and BI-RADS 3 categories. During 1 year clinical mammograms were performed in 1,777 patients."

"The assessment reported by radiologists was based on the American College of Radiology using BI-RADS categories. In BI-RADS 0 and BI-RADS 3 categories additional examinations, histopathological results, und follow-up results were reported.
