Study results from University of Southampton, Medical Research Council Epidemiology Resource Center broaden understanding of women's health

A report, 'Paternal skeletal size predicts intrauterine bone mineral accrual,' is newly published data in The Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism. According to a study from Southampton, the United Kingdom, "We have previously demonstrated that maternal body build and lifestyle factors predict neonatal bone mineral accrual. However, the paternal determinants of neonatal bone mass are not known."
