America's Kids are Deficient in Key Nutrients

A recent report from the American Academy of Pediatrics Committee on Nutrition cites an increasing number of children and adolescents suffer from an inadequate intake of calcium, a nutrient essential to bone growth and density(1). Other research found 42 percent of adolescents had insufficient vitamin D levels, another nutrient key to bone growth and density(2).
