Study data from Tubingen University, Division of Clinical Pharmacology provide new insights into breast cancer

New investigation results, 'Metabonomics in cancer diagnosis: mass spectrometry-based profiling of urinary nucleosides from breast cancer patients,' are detailed in a study published in Biomarkers. According to recent research from Tubingen, Germany, "Modified nucleosides are formed post-transcriptionally in RNA. In cancer disease, the cell turnover and thus RNA metabolism is increased, yielding higher concentrations of excreted modified nucleosides."
