Researchers from University of Texas report details of new studies and findings in the area of breast cancer

"We have recently shown that macrophage-stimulating protein (MSP) promotes the invasion of recepteur d'origine nantais (RON), a tyrosine kinase receptor-positive MDA-MB-231, MDA-MB-468 breast cancer cells, and also identified the regulatory elements required for RON gene expression. In this report, we have analyzed the efficacy of a chemopreventive agent, curcumin, in blocking RON tyrosine kinase-mediated invasion of breast cancer cells," investigators in the United States report.
