Findings from University of Texas advance knowledge in cervical cancer

"The purpose of this retrospective study was to report our experience with concurrent chemotherapy and adjuvant extended field irradiation after radical surgery for cervical carcinoma patients with common iliac node and/or multiple pelvic lymph nodes metastases. We studied 25 patients with FIGO stage IB-IIB (IB, 3; IIA, 15; and IIB, 7) cervical carcinoma who underwent radical surgery and had histologically confirmed involvement of common iliac nodes and/or multiple (>= 2) pelvic lymph nodes," investigators in the United States report.
