Study results from B. Hamrita and colleagues update understanding of breast cancer

According to recent research published in the journal Clinica Chimica Acta, "In this study we applied a serological proteomics-based approach (SERPA) to identify tumor antigens that commonly induce a humoral immune response in patients with infiltrating ductal breast carcinomas. Sera obtained at the time of diagnosis from 40 patients with invasive breast cancer and 42 healthy controls were screened individually for the presence of IgG antibodies to MCF-7 cell line proteins."
