According to a study from Zhuhai, People's Republic of China, "Human leukocyte antigen (HLA) alleles have been associated with an increased or decreased risk of developing cervical cancer through infection with oncogenic forms of the human papillomavirus (HPV). The aim of this study was to analyze the interactions between HPV and HLA, particularly of the entire HLA and partial non-HLA regions, in invasive cervical cancers."
