According to recent research published in the Health Education Journal, " The aim of the current study was to explore young women's perceptions of breast cancer. This study used a qualitative descriptive paradigm." "Participants were required to participate in a one-hour, tape-recorded, semi-structured interview. Data obtained were then coded and analysed using thematic analysis. A convenience sample of six young women participated in the study. Participants were all in their early twenties, with most being 21 years of age. All were university students who were studying a range of courses.
