New findings from Boston University describe advances in breast cancer

According to recent research published in the journal Obstetrics and Gynecology, "To investigate the relation of various estrogen-containing hormone therapies to the risk of breast cancer, emphasizing the use of the combination of estrogen and testosterone. Using information from a large U.S.-based claims database, we conducted a case-control study in women aged 50 to 64 years who had a first-time diagnosis of breast cancer to estimate the effect in users of conjugated estrogen alone, conjugated estrogen plus progestin, esterified estrogen with methyltestosterone, or esterified estrogen with methyltestosterone plus progestin, compared with nonusers."
