Findings from F.O. Ademuyiwa et al in breast cancer reported

"Angiogenesis plays a central role in the development of metastasis in breast cancer," scientists writing in the journal Clinical Breast Cancer report. "Recent results of large randomized trials show clinically significant improvements in outcomes with the use of bevacizumab in patients with metastatic breast cancer, leading to approval by European and US regulatory agencies. Several other antiangiogenic strategies are in various stages of development," wrote F.O. Ademuyiwa and colleagues.
