Study results from University of California provide new insights into breast cancer

According to recent research published in the American Journal of Surgical Pathology, "Neoadjuvant chemotherapy is standard of care for patients with locally advanced breast cancer. Patients who achieve a pathologic complete response have a more favorable outcome than those who do not; however, a standard system for classifying residual disease has not been adopted."
