In this recently published article, scientists in Netherlands conducted a study "To determine whether multidrug-resistance efflux transporters are expressed on immune effector cells in synovial tissue from patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and compromise the efficacy of methotrexate (MTX) and leflunomide (LEF).
