Des Moines Register Reports SpectraScience LUMA Enhances Cervical Cancer Exams

SpectraScience, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: SCIE), a San Diego based medical device company, announced that Iowa's Des Moines Register published an article reporting that its LUMA cervical imaging system is enhancing the effectiveness of cancer exams at the University of Iowa. Since Last July, researchers at the University of Iowa have used the LUMA Cervical Imaging System in more than 80 women - in conjunction with standard methods of detecting cervical cancer - to enhance their ability to locate cancer and precancerous disease.
