October is Dyslexia Awarness Month

Yes October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, BUT it is also Dyslexia Awareness Month. According to the International Dyslexia Association (IDA), dyslexia is a language-based learning disability. It is neither a weakness in intelligence nor a vision problem. Reading and spelling often prove difficult for someone with dyslexia. Dyslexic children and adults may even excel at speaking and oral language. Some have strong abilities to understand information they hear, yet are unable to read it.
