New gestational diabetes study findings have been reported from University of Messina

New investigation results, 'First trimester serum neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipocalin in gestational diabetes,' are detailed in a study published in Diabetic Medicine. "Neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipocalin (NGAL) is highly expressed in damaged epithelia, during inflammation and cardiovascular disease. Soluble NGAL was measured in women who subsequently developed gestational diabetes," investigators in Messina, Italy report.
