Researchers from University of Colorado, Division of Medical Oncology discuss findings in breast cancer therapy

Investigators publish new data in the report 'Fulvestrant: a unique antiendocrine agent for estrogen-sensitive breast cancer.' "IMPORTANCE OF THE FIELD: The role of estrogen deprivation for the treatment of breast cancer has been understood since the 1800s. Pharmacologic advances in the field in the past decades, including tamoxifen and the aromatase inhibitors, have contributed significantly to the reduced mortality of estrogen-sensitive breast cancer," researchers in the United States report.
