Findings from University of Tokyo, Department of Pathology advance knowledge in cytology

A new study, 'Bilateral microscopic adenocarcinoma of the fallopian tubes detected by an endometrial cytologic smear,' is now available. According to a study from Tokyo, Japan, "Primary adenocarcinoma of the fallopian tube is an uncommon female genital tract tumor. In situ or minimally invasive tubal cancer often poses a diagnostic challenge because of the absence of specific clinical and radiological findings."
