Researchers' work from University of Porto, Faculty of Engineering focuses on obstetrics and gynecology

New research, 'Computational modeling approach to study the effects of fetal head flexion during vaginal delivery,' is the subject of a report. According to a study from Oporto, Portugal, "The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of fetal head flexion during vaginal delivery with a 3-dimensional computational finite element model. A finite element model of the pelvic skeletal structure, pelvic floor, and fetus was developed."
