Research findings from Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica update understanding of ovarian cancer

2011 JAN 13 -- Data detailed in 'Pharmacokinetics in rats and efficacy in murine ovarian cancer model for solid lipid nanoparticles loading docetaxel' have been presented. "Docetaxel was used extensively in ovarian cancer treatment in the combination with platinum compound. However, the serious side effect of clinically available formulation limits its further application," investigators in Shanghai, People's Republic of China report.
