New Osteoporosis Data Have Been Reported by Researchers at School of Dentistry

2011 NOV 17 -- Fresh data on Osteoporosis are presented in the report "Naringin abrogates osteoclastogenesis and bone resorption via the inhibition of RANKL-induced NF-'B and ERK activation." According to the authors of a study from Nedlands, Australia, "Osteolytic bone diseases including osteoporosis are commonly accompanied with enhanced osteoclast formation and bone resorption. Naringin, a natural occurring flavonoid has been found to protect against retinoic acid-induced osteoporosis and improve bone quality in rats."
