Research Conducted at Medical Center Has Provided New Information about Osteoporosis

2012 JAN 5 -- New research, "Efficacy of calcium supplementation for human bone health by mass spectrometry profiling and cathepsin K measurement in plasma samples," is the subject of a report. According to the authors of recent research published in the Journal of Bone and Mineral Metabolism, "Osteoporosis is a common disease among older people, especially postmenopausal women. Calcium supplementation is effective in decreasing the occurrence of osteoporosis."
