Loss of heterozygosity at chromosome 19p13.3 in sporadic ovarian sex cord-stromal tumors appears to target a gene, or genes, other than the STK11/LKB1 tumor-suppressor gene, researchers in Spain report. "Germ line mutations in the STK11/LKB1 tumor-suppressor gene (chromosome 19p13.3) are responsible for the Peutz-Jeghers syndrome (PJS).
