TNF-blocking agents treat rheumatoid arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis

Tumor necrosis factor-blocking agents are effective in treating patients with rheumatoid arthritis and patients with ankylosing spondylitis. Researchers in Norway recently conducted a study "To compare the effectiveness of tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-blocking agents (etanercept and infliximab) in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and patients with ankylosing spondylitis (AS).
