New campaign against reimportation launched

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) joined the North Carolina Association of Pharmacists (NCAP) and the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy (NCBOP) in Raleigh recently to announce the launch of a new "Looks Can Be Deceiving" public information campaign, which outline risks associated with the reimportation of drugs from Canada and other foreign sources. North Carolina is the ninth state to participate in the campaign, sponsored by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), FDA, NCAP and NCBOP, which will distribute more than half a million pieces of consumer educational materials to 575 pharmacies across the state.
