The loss of RASSF1A expression propels nasopharyngeal cancer proliferation. According to recent research published in the International Journal of Cancer, "deletion on the short arm of chromosome 3 is one of the most important genetic abnormalities in the tumorigenesis of nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC).
