New research shows Miami as most competitive HMO market

According to new research data, Florida is the hottest HMO market, with the top five HMO plans in the market comprising 64% of the market share. InterStudy Publications, a research publisher of managed care industry data, has announced the release of its Spring 2004 Metropolitan Statistical Area Profiler database, which presents HMO data at the metropolitan statistical area (MSA) level. According to this new research, the Miami-Miami Beach-Kendall area in Fla., is the nation's most competitive HMO market.
