Meetings to help Medicare beneficiaries choose discount cards

West Virginia officials plan to visit senior centers, schools and a church over the next 2 months to help Medicare beneficiaries compare 41 different drug discount cards that will become available June 1, 2004, in West Virginia. "The goal is to reach as many Medicare beneficiaries as we can," said Linda Calvert, director of the state's Senior Health Insurance Network, which provides information about the national health program for older and disabled residents. Representatives from the AARP, state Bureau of Senior Services and county aging programs will hold regional information sessions in Charleston, Elkins, Logan, Beckley, Martinsburg, Clarksburg...
