E.U. approves two heart disease treatments

Guidant Corporation (NYSE:GDT) announced the Conformite Europeenne (CE) Mark approval of a new coronary stent system and a coronary dilatation catheter. The stent system, called Multi-link Mini Vision, is Guidan'ts first cobalt chromium stent designed for treating coronary artery disease in small vessels. The catheter is called the Voyager Coronary Dilatation Catheter. "These two approvals continue Guidant's leadership in developing innovative technology for interventional cardiology," said Dana G.
