STERIS sterilization equipment chosen for King Hamad University Hospital

STERIS, a global leader in decontamination and infection control, is pleased to announce a new agreement to supply services and equipment – including the Amsco® V-PRO™ 1 Plus Low Temperature Sterilization System – to the King Hamad University Hospital (KHUH) in Bahrain.



KHUH is a new, 311-bed university hospital serving the Bahrain community. The state-of-the-art facility is intended as a center of academic and clinical excellence, equipped with the most technologically advanced equipment to ensure a world class service. The agreement to supply sterilization equipment and chemistries to the Department of Sterilization is worth 460 000 Bahraini dinar, and was signed with Gulf Pharmacy, the authorized agent of STERIS in Bahrain. Bahrain's Minister of State for Defence Affairs, Lieutenant General Dr Sheikh Mohammed Bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, said that STERIS equipment was selected based on the Company’s advanced technologies and flexible solutions, as well as its ability to fulfill the hospitals administrative and regulatory requirements.
