Project HOPE to Send Humanitarian Assistance to Myanmar

Millwood VA – Project HOPE, an international health education and humanitarian assistance organization, is moving quickly to gather medical supplies for the people of Myanmar devastated by Cyclone Nargis.

“We are immediately reaching out to our corporate partners and our dedicated individual donors to assist Project HOPE in gathering and distributing lifesaving medicines and medical supplies to the people of Myanmar at this time of great need,” said John P. Howe III, M.D., President and CEO of Project HOPE. “I am saddened by the growing numbers of lost lives and horrific images of destruction. I am confident our donors – both corporate and individual – will come to the aid of those in need as they always do.”

Individuals may contribute to Project HOPE’s Myanmar relief efforts and other humanitarian efforts by making donations online at www.projecthope.org. HOPE will work with other relief-based non-governmental organizations to deliver the aid gathered.

Founded in 1958, Project HOPE (Health Opportunities for People Everywhere) is dedicated to providing lasting solutions to health problems with the mission of helping people to help themselves.
