This innovative new resource delivers web-based, educational programs for healthcare professionals as part of 3M’s commitment to improve the quality of healthcare. The Web site - www.3m.com/learningconnection - is designed to provide on-demand information and training in the areas of skin and wound care, IV site care, infection prevention, sterile processing and microbiology.
“We know that the vast majority – more than 90 percent – of healthcare professionals have access to the Internet at home. Our Health Care Learning Connection resulted from customer feedback indicating a desire for additional educational tools that professionals could access on their own time,” said Kristen Comstock, Marketing Manager, 3M Health Care. “3M pooled its resources and responded with a centralized, 24/7, one-stop-shop for practical, robust education on a variety of important healthcare topics.
The 3M Health Care Learning Connection website offers interactive educational programs that healthcare professionals can download free of charge. Topics include “Prediction and Prevention of Pressure Ulcers,” “Wound Assessment and Documentation” and “Transparent Film Dressings and Breathability: What Does the Data Show?,” just to name a few. The 3M site provides both CE accredited and non-accredited courses.
