Building on the success of previous years, London's ExCeL will once again host MICROSCIENCE 2010, Europe's premier international conference and exhibition on microscopy, imaging and analysis in both the life and physical sciences. Organised by the Royal Microscopical Society (RMS), this major biennial event will be held from 28th June to 1st July 2010.
The exhibition – the largest of its type in Europe – will include 1100m2 of stand space plus a host of complementary feature such as workshops and the fully-equipped RMS Learning Zone. These are FREE to all visitors.
“It is clear that anticipation is mounting for MICROSCIENCE 2010, as evidenced by the large amount of exhibition space that was snapped up within days of it becoming available,” say Allison Winton, RMS Event Director. “Over 80% is now taken, and what is really pleasing is that despite the change in the economic climate, nearly every company has opted to take the same amount of space as in 2008. And, given that 2008 was the largest in the event’s history, this is great news and it demonstrates the position that MICROSCIENCE has now achieved within the microscopy calendar.”
With all the major companies, such as Hitachi, JEOL, FEI, Leica, Olympus and Carl Zeiss, exhibiting alongside a wide-range of other microscopy and imaging related companies, MICROSCIENCE 2010 is a major exhibition. “It is Europe's largest exhibition dedicated to microscopy and imaging, and we always aim to introduce something new each year," adds Allison. "This approach keeps the event “fresh” and, as always it will provide a unique way for visitors to get close to the cutting edge of microscopy and imaging and to meet with the world's leading experts".
Huw Thomas, Northern European Manager at Leica Microsystems UK Ltd and Vice-Chair of the Society’s Trade Advisory Committee agrees with Allison.

Whilst it is the big names that will be taking the large stands, MICROSCIENCE is famous for accommodating all sizes of company. Whether it is a multi-national, or a start-up appearing for the first time, RMS staff work closely with everybody to maximize the benefits of exhibiting.

The associated international conference comprises four parallel sessions which will address the biological and physical sciences and will reveal innovations at the frontiers of development.
